But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

Finishing the School

Eight months sounded like forever, but here I am already, at the end of counseling internship in LA.

All glory to God for protecting me, guilding me, and successfully finishing not only the counseling internship but the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Regent University.

I am graduating in a few weeks. I have a Master’s degree in counseling! I’m very, very privileged to receive such quality education. I couldn’t have done it without people who were supportive, especially Erich and my parents.

Church Stuff

When I came to LA, I was pretty discouraged. I found it a relief to be away from Japan where I found to be such lonely, dark spiritual place. Sadly, I came back with hopelessness for God’s work in Japan instead of much hope. I had unrealistic expectations toward everything which ended up making me feel let down. I believe the result of hopelessness derived from my lack of spiritual maturity: I was easily offended and casted judgment on many things. And it sucked. So I was not looking forward to going back to Japan if it were not for seeing my lovely husband.

But God is good. God instilled in me a new hope, new attitude, and new love and faith toward people and the work in Japan this season. God has shown me a Japanese church community in LA where it felt like a dream because the church was filled with humble young adults who were on fire for Jesus, serving each other under good leadership. Now that I witnessed something like Siloam Church, I am greatly encouraged and I look forward to going back to Japan to do God’s work, regardless of how tough it can be to live and serve there. As said in Isaiah 40:31, God gave me a new strength.

Next

I am just excited to go back to Japan. We have some exciting potential news on our ministry. There’s a potential partnership between us as a church and Gospel Siloam Church in LA, and potential involvement with Iris, too.

Potentially 🙂

Bye for now!
